OnixFeed for Publishers
Keep your catalogue accurate. Send it everywhere.
OnixFeed gives your team one place to manage book metadata, prices, availability, rights, covers, and contributors. From that catalogue, you can create ONIX feeds for trade partners, supply your online stores, and produce sales catalogues - without maintaining the same information in different systems.
One reliable record for every book
Keep the information that sells and identifies each title together: ISBN, format, language, description, cover, contributors, subjects, rights, price, and availability.
When something changes, update it in OnixFeed. The corrected information is then ready for your next retailer feed, distributor file, online store update, or PDF catalogue.
Send each partner the books they need
Create a separate ONIX feed for a retailer, distributor, library, or sales partner. Choose the titles to include and generate a current file from the catalogue you already maintain.
Different partners can receive different selections without your team building and checking a new spreadsheet every time.
Make an ONIX file easy to review
When you share an ONIX XML file, your partner does not need specialist software to see what it contains. They can open the free OnixFeed XML Viewer, drop in the file, and browse the titles as familiar book cards with covers, ISBNs, prices, availability, and ONIX codes translated into readable labels.
There is no account to create, and the file stays in their browser rather than being uploaded.
Find missing information before your partners do
Check saved records before they leave your business. OnixFeed highlights missing store information and validates the ONIX structure, so your team can correct problems before a feed reaches a partner.
South African publishers can also check records against PASA best-practice principles. These checks guide your team; they do not certify acceptance by every recipient.
Update a catalogue without opening every title
Import ONIX files and supported spreadsheets to add or update books in bulk. Use bulk tools to manage covers, publishing status, subjects, rights, feeds, and other shared changes across selected titles.
That means less repetitive data entry and more time for publishing, marketing, and selling books.
Keep every sales channel working from the same information
Use the same maintained catalogue for ONIX distribution, e-commerce data, flyers, and PDF catalogues. Your sales material, channel updates, and exports no longer need to be rebuilt from separate copies of the data.
OnixFeed can supply book data to WooCommerce and Shopify from store collections configured for each channel.
Bring your existing catalogue with you
Publishing data is rarely stored in one clean, consistent format. It may be spread across legacy databases, spreadsheets, e-commerce platforms, and older ONIX files.
OnixFeed is built with that reality in mind. We have the tools and publishing-data experience to help assess what you have, map it into a structured catalogue, resolve problems such as duplicate contributors or publisher names, and convert supported legacy data into ONIX XML.
Built for one publisher, several imprints, or a distribution hub
Run OnixFeed for your own list, manage several imprints, or take part in a catalogue shared by multiple publishers. Each user sees only the publishers assigned to their account, while the catalogue administrator can manage the complete operation.
Distributors can run OnixFeed as a hub that receives incoming feeds from multiple publishers, brings them together in one managed catalogue, and distributes the relevant titles onwards to retailers, libraries, stores, and other partners.
Your catalogue should help you sell books - not create more administration
OnixFeed turns the book information your team already manages into consistent data for the people and platforms that need it. Maintain it once, check it, and put it to work across your business.
