ONIX XML Tools
Useful ONIX tools, without the complexity
ONIX files contain the information that helps books move through the supply chain, but they are not easy to read or check by eye. OnixFeed tools make that data easier to understand, review, and prepare for the people who need it.
Tools that make book data easier to work with
You should not need to read raw XML to understand your catalogue. Our tools are designed to give publishers, distributors, and booksellers a clearer view of ONIX data and more confidence when exchanging it.
ONIX XML Viewer
Open an ONIX 3.1 XML file and browse its contents as familiar book cards. See covers, titles, contributors, ISBNs, prices, and availability, with ONIX codes translated into readable labels.
The viewer is free, requires no account, and processes the file inside your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
ONIX XML Validation Tool
Coming soon!
The ONIX Validator will help you check a file for structural and metadata problems before you send it to a retailer, distributor, library, or other partner.
It will complement the Viewer: use the Viewer to understand what a file contains, and the Validator to identify what may need attention.
Validation is also built into OnixFeed installations, alongside store readiness checks. Teams can check whether a saved title has the information needed for an online store and review ONIX issues while working in the catalogue, before preparing a feed or export.
