Stock & Inventory

Manage your book inventory and stock levels from the Stock section.

Accessing Stock Management

Navigate to Stock in the sidebar. This is available to users with Stock or Admin access.

Viewing Your Inventory

The Stock page shows all books in a table with:

  • Cover image
  • Title
  • ISBN
  • Language
  • Format
  • Price
  • Stock Quantity
  • Status (In Stock, Low Stock, Out of Stock)

Filtering and Searching

  • Search - Find books by title or ISBN
  • Language - Filter by language
  • Publisher - Filter by publisher
  • Format - Filter by format (Hardback, Paperback, etc.)
  • Stock Status - Show only In Stock, Low Stock, or Out of Stock items

Grouping Variants

Toggle "Group by Variant" to group language editions and formats together. This is helpful when managing multi-language or multi-format titles.

Sorting

Sort by any column:

  • Title
  • Price
  • Stock Quantity
  • Language
  • Publisher
  • Format
  • ISBN
  • Publication Date

Stock Status

OnixFeed automatically calculates stock status:

Updating Stock Levels

Quick Edit (Inline)

  1. Find the book in the stock table
  2. Double-click on the Price or Stock Quantity cell
  3. Type the new value
  4. Press Enter or click the save icon

Full Edit

  1. Click the Edit button next to a book
  2. Update stock details in the edit modal
  3. Click Save

Importing Stock Data

Update stock levels in bulk using CSV import:

Export Current Stock

  1. Click Export Stock CSV
  2. Download the CSV file with current stock data
  3. Open in Excel or Google Sheets

Edit and Re-import

  1. Update the values in your spreadsheet
  2. Save as CSV
  3. Click Import Stock CSV
  4. Upload your updated file

Exporting Stock Data

Excel Export

  1. Select books or export all
  2. Click Export to Excel
  3. Download the spreadsheet

Shopify Export

Export stock data for your Shopify store:

  1. Select books to export
  2. Click Export to Shopify CSV
  3. Review any validation warnings
  4. Download the CSV
  5. Import into Shopify

Tips for Stock Management

  1. Regular updates - Keep stock levels current to avoid overselling
  2. Use CSV import - For large updates, import via CSV is faster
  3. Monitor low stock - Filter by "Low Stock" to see items needing reorder
  4. Group variants - Use variant grouping to manage editions together
  5. Export before changes - Download current stock as backup before bulk updates

Troubleshooting

Stock not updating:

  • Ensure you press Enter or click save after editing
  • Check that the book exists and ISBN matches

CSV import fails:

  • Verify ISBN format (13 or 10 digits, no hyphens)
  • Ensure required columns are present
  • Check currency codes are valid

Wrong stock status showing:

  • Stock status is calculated automatically based on quantity
  • If quantity is correct but status is wrong, try refreshing the page
