Manage book reviews, endorsements, and other promotional content for your catalog.

Reviews

Navigate to Reviews in the sidebar to manage review content for your books.

Viewing Reviews

The Reviews page shows all reviews in a table with:

• Book title and ISBN
• Review content (truncated preview)
• Reviewer name
• Source publication
• Status
• Actions (edit, delete)

Filtering and Searching

• Search - Find reviews by content, book title, reviewer, or source
• Status - Filter by Draft, Published, or Archived
• Book - Filter by specific book title or ISBN
• Sort - Order by newest, oldest, book title, or reviewer

Adding a Review

1. Click Add Review in the top right
2. Fill in the review details:
   • Book - Search and select the book
   • Content - The review text
   • Reviewer - Who wrote the review
   • Source - Publication or website name
   • Language - Language of the review
   • Status - Draft, Published, or Archived
3. Click Save

Editing a Review

1. Find the review in the list
2. Click the Edit button (pencil icon)
3. Update the details
4. Click Save

Note: Reviewers can only edit their own reviews. Publishers and Editors can edit all reviews.

Deleting a Review

1. Find the review in the list
2. Click the Delete button (trash icon)
3. Confirm the deletion

Importing Reviews

Import reviews in bulk from a CSV file:

1. Click Import CSV
2. Upload your file

CSV columns:

Column	Required	Description
ISBN	Yes	ISBN-13 or ISBN-10 to match the book
Book_Title	No	For reference only
Content	Yes	The review text
Reviewer	No	Reviewer name
Source	No	Publication name
Language_Code	No	e.g., eng, afr (defaults to English)
Status	No	draft, published, or archived

Exporting Reviews

Click Export CSV to download all reviews as a spreadsheet.

Content Management

Navigate to Content in the sidebar for broader content management.

Types of Content

The Content section manages all text content types, not just reviews:

Type	Use For
Review Quote	Reviews and endorsements
Description	Book descriptions
Excerpt	Sample text from the book
Table of Contents	Chapter listings
Endorsement	Author or celebrity quotes
Marketing Text	Promotional copy

Managing Content

The Content page works similarly to Reviews:

1. View all content items in a table
2. Filter by type, status, or book
3. Search across all content
4. Add new content with the type selector
5. Edit existing content
6. Delete content you no longer need

Use Reviews for quick review management with import/export. Use Content for managing all types of book content.

Status Values

Content items have three possible statuses:

Status	Meaning
Draft	Work in progress, not visible in feeds
Published	Ready for ONIX feeds and public display
Archived	Hidden from normal views, kept for reference

Tips for Managing Reviews

1. Set status correctly - Only Published reviews appear in ONIX feeds
2. Include source - Crediting the source adds authenticity
3. Use CSV import - Bulk upload is faster for many reviews
4. Check language - Ensure the language code matches the review text
5. Keep it fresh - Archive old reviews, add new ones regularly

Troubleshooting

Review not appearing in feed:

• Check the status is set to "Published"
• Verify the book is included in the feed

Can't edit a review:

• Reviewers can only edit their own reviews
• Contact a Publisher or Editor for help

Import failing:

• Ensure ISBN column contains valid ISBNs
• Check that required columns (ISBN, Content) are present
• Verify the file is saved as CSV
