Admin in OnixFeed

The Admin menu is for hub administrators (admin scope). Publisher users do not see it. If you are setting up an install for the first time, start at Getting started for administrators.

What each scope allows is on Your access.

What is in Admin

Menu itemWhat it is
Admin DashboardCounts, user stats, API and media status, and shortcuts
BackupsDaily ONIX XML snapshot of every book on this install
UsersCreate logins, set scopes, assign publishers, reset passwords
SettingsClient branding and a link to PDF templates

Users

Open Admin → Users. You can:

  • Search and sort users
  • Create a user (email, password, name, scopes, assigned publishers)
  • Edit scopes and publisher assignments
  • Deactivate or remove users

Do not give publisher contacts the admin scope. That scope sees all publishers and store-collection tools.

API keys for the WooCommerce plugin are hub-provisioned. There is no publisher self-serve API-key page. Password resets stay here - there is no self-service reset.

Settings

Admin → Settings is branding and configuration.

  • Client branding - install name, logo, and related labels (including the reviews section label)
  • Manage PDF templates - link to PDF catalogs

First-run Welcome / onboarding asks for the same branding before you import. You can change those fields here later.

Publisher users do not use this screen for day-to-day catalogue work.

Admin Dashboard

Open Admin → Admin Dashboard.

  • Current user - your name, email, and scopes
  • System information - book, contributor, and subject counts (published and draft)
  • User management - hub vs spoke counts, plus a link to Users
  • System Status - API, server media, ImageKit (refreshes when you open the page)
  • Quick actions - Promote cover images, Catalogue custom subjects, Manage Publishers

ImageKit Not configured means CDN library modes are off. Ask your systems administrator if you need them.

Cover image promotion

Use this after an import left covers on staging URLs. Open it from Admin Dashboard → Promote cover images.

  1. Choose Destination: ImageKit library (cover-only, renamed to the ISBN) or Server (every supporting resource, original filename) when server media is configured.
  2. Filter by status and publisher.
  3. Select titles and apply. Connect catalogue points the book at a file that already exists. Upload copies the file from staging.

Tick Re-upload when the file already exists only when you mean to replace the library or server file.

Also admin-only

These need the same admin scope but are not under the Admin menu:

  • E-commerce → Store collections - book lists and Woo / Shopify channels. See Store collections.
  • Cover image promotion - from the Admin Dashboard shortcut above.
