Publishers in OnixFeed

A publisher in OnixFeed is the imprint (or trading name) that owns a set of books. You only see publishers assigned to your login. When more than one is assigned, a publisher switcher appears.

Why you might see more than one name

Catalogue imports sometimes create the same imprint under slightly different names (spelling, punctuation, or “trading as” variants). Those show up as separate publishers, and your login may be assigned to all of them so you can see the full list.

If titles seem missing:

  1. Use the publisher switcher to move between assigned publishers.
  2. Decide the single name you want to keep.
  3. Merge the books yourself, or ask your administrator to merge them.

Transfer books

  1. Open Publishers in the sidebar.
  2. On the duplicate name, choose Transfer books.
  3. Pick the publisher you want to keep.
  4. Confirm Transfer books.

After a transfer, titles live under one publisher. Ask your administrator to clean up empty duplicate rows if needed. Prefer one canonical name before you send large spreadsheet or ONIX updates.

Adding a publisher

Add New Publisher is available to hub users who can see all publishers. Most publisher contacts do not add new imprint rows - they work with the names already assigned.

Refresh reloads the list.
